We got to Joes parents around noon yesterday & I was itching to run. Reading about the tribute run happening in Nashville (26.4.26) & being couped up in the car just made me want to get the 16 done. We had plenty of time to do it before dinner & the Lions game. (go Megatron!)
It was around 32 degrees, little windy, but the sun was trying to come out. What we didn't realize was that the route we were about to do was a slight downhill going out & of course a slight uphill coming back. I tried to keep it reeled in on the front end but it just wasn't happening. No Negative split this weekend but the pace was awesome overall.
I wore my 305 garmin this time. I took in 3 gus total, one every 4 miles. The last one made me feel a little blah. Forgot to bring my myoplex protein recovery drink to MI but I feel ok overall. I love the fact that my legs lock into an 8:45-8:50 pace on the flats! If I could run on a soft trail like this every weekend I would never be injured.
