Yesterday afternoon, I spent a slow hour reading while on the elliptical & someone mentioned mexican & margaritas...the next thing I know I'm sitting on a patio... :)
This morning, I drug myself to the gym for a quick 10 mins on the bike then 45 mins in Pilates class. I knew we were in for it when Carla started throwing the bands at us. I'm so sloppy when we use those things. I got my usual spot where she can't see everything I do & she yelled at me to move. I pretended to be ever so busy with the bands. ha! If she reads this, she'll be after me now....ooops!
By the time class ended, it was storming with lightening. I debated about aqua jogging in Winchester's pool...after 200+ yoga ball crunches with 1 lb weights, I decided to head over there. The rain had stopped & the sun was peeking through. I got in 30 solid mins of aqua jogging & read by the pool outside. Because I'm not running, my tan just isn't there much this year & my hair hasn't got the natural highlights from the sun much yet. Today, I think I made up for it. I got home, looked in the mirror & realized "summer" Lisa had finally arrived. Whew!

Ran 5.25, got yelled at, pilates, etc....
Met Reiko this am & led her over to East area. The plan was for 6 miles @ 10 min pace but she was late. (Reiko, I'm busting your late ass out, ok. :P )
As we took off some lady yelled at us. Apparently, the Middle School cheerleading tryouts were this morning. Everyone was dropping their girls off. I guess this lady thought we were trying to run away from cheerleading tryouts because she said something about how she thought we were trying out, etc... It startled me but then I laughed!
It was NICE, breezy, cool, & I could breathe. We did Macon & Tara without the loops. We got in 5.25 in 9:36, I think....it felt easy. We did pilates class & rode the bikes slowly for 30 mins. We ran into Linda W. who cuts my hair, does my face, etc... Reiko made an appt with my Salon for a glycolic peel on Tues. ha!
After grabbing lunch in the Coker building, we're headed to Arlene's shower & then dinner with friends. So far a productive day. :)
Unless it's a downpour in the am, I'm still heading to B.B. to run.....it may be just me & my shuffle, who knows.... Life is Good!

Busy, Productive couple of days...
I somehow managed to squeeze in the yardwork between late friday/early Sat morning. After having dinner with a friend, I got about 75% of my push mowing done before darkness fell friday night. (Happy Mother's Day mom, your yard is looking beautiful!!)
Sat morning, I finished the yard & headed to pilates class.
I then went to Salon Allure,(Linda & Gena's new salon since they closed down Studio 2000). I got a little pampering done then I bought mulch. Somehow that sentence seems so wrong! ha!
Carla & Chris both were interested in running Bell Buckle today but both got sidetracked at the last minute. Steve did show up, thank God. He & I started shortly after 5pm. It was hot, humid, etc... We should have been shot running at that hour but I've run the course under much more miserable conditions. Luckily, God made it overcast for us after 2 miles & it was bearable. I did my usual stopping & starting, which became more frequent with the hills on Happy Valley. Why is Happy Valley road never that happy? :P Anyway, Steve pulled me along even though he stayed way ahead of me for most of the run. I would have been a lot slower if he had not been there. I did my usual negative split believe it or not, but the overall pace for me was just 10:31. It could have been worse but man, oh man, it has been BETTER!! Last years training run with the Murf. pacers was much faster for me.
After we finished, I got a diet coke & nutty buddy. Talk about undoing the good... I went into a store & bought a very cool flower ring. :) Happy Mother's day to me!
We somehow got a table in the Bell Buckle Cafe. What a lively place that was, gesh! They had a band in there. We sat outside in a little porch area with a cat. Too funny! I fed it some of my cornbread. I ran into someone I know that I had not seen in forever. You know how that goes...you look nasty & you see people you haven't seen in a while, but it's usually in Walmart when this happens. Great food & company, btw.
We closed down the cafe.
Good Times!

Saturday's trashed legs n' stuff
Blog stalker, Tom, worked in Vegas this week & decided to run the Cirque du Soleil 5k before he flew home. ha!
I would LOVE to see the Cirque do Soleil,Beatles: Love show! That would be so cool!

I knew we were in for it when Carla threw the rubber bands at us for Pilates this morning. Pilates pretty much did my legs in for the week but I attempted something resembling speed work anyway today. It just wasn't happening for me. Even though the rain stopped, my legs refused to go! My glutes & hams were a little sore. My calves felt heavy. I jogged the greenway behind THS to DW Wilson, took a bathroom break, & jogged back for a little over 2 miles. I started the 1st 400 and bonked 3/4 of the way around. I decided then to just jog a little in the parking lots hoping the legs would loosen. It was useless! When I decided to head to the gym, I had in roughly 4 miles. Nothing was happening & I figured I needed some entertainment on the deathmill. I walked, jogged, & snuck in a little speed while watching TV. I think I did 2 x 800s & 4 x 400s. Can't remember! All I know is that I had 6 miles when I decided to get off. For the day, approximately 10 crappy miles.
Congrats to William for meeting his goal in a big way this morning! :)
Got another glycolic peel & I really love my skin. Those treatments seriously give you a glow, even out your tone, & soften your skin.

less foggy
I made it to the gym for a slow 25 mins on the elliptical before I jumped into the 45 min pilates class. Carla was sadistic today! She had us use bands on our ankles. The good news is that I'm getting stronger on the "plank". After class I jumped on a treadmill for 1 hr 10 mins. I believe I did just over 6.5 miles, walking/jogging/running/hill training. I was wringing wet when I got off. The pilates rejuvenated me enough to do it, I guess...that and the fact that I didn't take the durahist this morning. I'll have to take that stuff right before bed.
Watched Erin's (Carla's daughter) basketball game against St. Paul's school. That wore me out. Those little girls were so funny & I think Carla will be hoarse tomorrow. :P Too funny!
I also saw, "27 Dresses" this afternoon in Murf. I highly recommend it. It's not a total "chick flick". It's actually pretty cute. Katherine Heigl of "Grey's Anatomy" is so appealing. I loved her in "Knocked Up".
I ended my day with dinner at "Bonefish" with Hannah & Jeff. GREAT food, GREATER martini's! I can tell Jeff is getting a little fired up about the Preds 5k. He mentioned that he would not mind driving the course. (That's when you know, they're a real runner! :P)
We're going to have so much fun, the 5k & then the game that night!
