After last Sat, please feel free to slap me up side the head with a comment to remind me not to gripe about the weather ever again. I was hoping for a much faster tempo run this afternoon but my right achilles was a tinsy bit sore from yesterday. I also fought headwinds about a 1/3 of the time out, but I got in 5.5 miles. When I stopped at East, I had to stand with my heels hanging off the sidewalk to stretch the achilles. I closed my eyes & let the wind dry the sweat off my face. It was only a 9:21 pace but I felt good.
I am almost ashamed to post this but after I ran, I spent 2 hrs on an elliptical watching "Idol". I need to carb load before I do that again, seriously! David Archuleta was amazing with Sir Paul's, "The Long & Winding Road." I've loved that song since I was a child & it makes me misty eyed so you can imagine me on an elliptical trying not to tear up. The boy is so talented!
Tomorrow:
I'll give the achilles a rest until I do speed on Thursday, besides it's supposed to rain. I plan to cross train with weights & do a lot of AB work.
I doubt I'll spend 2 hrs on the elliptical tomorrow! :P
