I talked to Terry Q. this morning, who was gushing with excitement. You would too, if your little boy won 8th place in the world for the Stock division at the Soapbox National Championships. There were 150 cars in the Stock division, Cody Q. was 8th & won a HUGE trophy just about as big as his is according to T.Q. Normally, when children go for their first time, they're eliminated in the 1st round. It took C.Q. 5 rounds to obtain 8th place. There were three children that went from Tullahoma. A little girl, Hailey, won the overall Super Stock division. (Can you believe it?! Two big time winners from this small town.) C.Q. went up against a little German boy named Ernst & another child from Connecticut in the first heat (if I'm remembering this right from Terry...). Obviously, C.Q. won & then smoked the next heat, & so on... They've had one exciting week & weekend. Next year, C.Q. will be in the Super Stock division & I'm sure he'll do well. Something tells me that soon, little Claire Q. will be riding in a Stock division car.... :)
On the marathon front.....apparently, Denver is next to check off Terry's list...
