You can also look at the "Blog Archive" on the left of the screen. You can view everything I've posted over the last week, month, or last Fall there. (For instance, the Good Morning America post is still there even though you don't see it on the main screen. Click on the 7-1-08 Good Morning America link in the Blog Archive WAY down on the left)

2-2.5 hr road trip with Cheryl in her mini van....priceless... Cheryl, you are the best!
Her GPS system has an English Accent which I made fun of most of the drive.
She got us right to the hotel NO PROBLEM, parked her van in "Icon" for her 24 hr stay, & was ready to go! She was the one who had enough sense to get photos of the room. :P
Mark Twain slept here...well, not really but he did live in this hotel at one time. We rearranged some furniture & set up Cheryl's rollaway before heading down Broadway to dinner at "Angelo's Pizza"(next to Ed Sullivan theater) & then to "Hairspray".

Funny thing happened around the corner from the hotel. Hannah saw this blue cheese in a cheese shop & wanted her pic taken with it. She went in, I snapped it, & then we got yelled at for taking a photo. (Please educate me on the wrong doings of cheese photos? Does it make the cheese go bad to take a photo or was this woman just being mean?)

My logisitics are worked out for '09 IF I get into the marathon, stay here, take cab down to the Pier to Staten Island ferries, jump into cab, head to starting line on Staten Island....just sayin'....

My bootleg photo of the inside of the Neil Simon theater... I got in trouble for this one. See how close we were to the stage? We could see under the skirts of the gals when they twisted & swirled & we could see the sweat rolling down the temples. I have a whole new respect for George Wendt who was playing the role of the mother of Tracy Turnblad. (John Travolta played this part in the movie.) You will be happy to know that I refrained from screaming "NORM!!" when he came out on stage. ha! 2nd row orchestra was a good place to be! I will be honest, this was my 1st Broadway play EVER & I found myself screaming as if I were at a Titan's game. It was that energetic & cool! I highly recommend it. My 2nd choice would have been "A Chorus Line" with Mario Lopez. :)
After "Hairspray" we were not about to wait in line for the restrooms so we went into the "M & M Store". Of course, I had to buy a couple of things & get my photo taken with an M & M.

I'm sure I've forgot a lot...like driving past Hell's Kitchen, Larry Flint's Hustler building, running past the Museum of Natural History (for another trip!) and by the "Bodies" exhibit....but we didn't go into these places. My next trip, which hopefully will be a long weekend or the 2009 NYC marathon, I'd like to do museums only. I hope everyone had a safe & happy 4th of July!
